LIMA, PERU MEETINGS REPORT
May 28-30, 2010
Believers came from both far and near to rejoice with the Tabernacle of Adoration on the 10th anniversary of their church building. Ten years ago Pastor Luis Salcedo and the members of his church purchase a house on a corner lot in a residential community and saw the potential that was lying within the property. They had a vision to transform this one level house to a multilevel house of worship. We were shown the photos of the huge remodeling project and heard of the many challenges that they faced along the way. Today the Tabernacle of Adoration stands completed with plenty of room to serve the local church and community.
The special anniversary services began on the evening of Friday May, 28. As believers began to fill the church you could feel a special anointing of praise and expectation. The anointing filled each service and each message took us all a step higher.
On Friday the first message was preached by Pastor Rodolfo Alvarez from Hualpen, Chile. The title of his message was “We are well able”. In this message the Holy Spirit spoke to his people and showed us that there is a place, a New Land that God has promised to the true believer in this age. The believers were challenged to be strong and courageous to take the New Land that has been promised to every believer. There is a New Land, a new message and we are more than able to possess it.
On Saturday the second message was preached by Pastor Jesse Robledo from Huntington, New York. The title of his message was “Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom”. In that message the Holy Spirit emphasized how God chooses the predestinated believer to know the mysteries of God. To others it is a stumbling block but to the predestinated it is life eternal.
On Sunday morning the third message was preached by Brother Alex Ukeni from London, England. The title of his message was “Don’t look back”. The anointing kept getting higher and higher as the Holy Spirit encouraged the believer not to look back. This is not the time to look back. We should be going forward. We were reminded of Lot’s wife who looked back one day as she departed Sodom and was turned to a pillar of salt. The believer must be decisive and stay on the right road.
On Sunday evening the fourth and final message was preach by Brother Jesse Robledo. The title of his message was “The Mind of Christ”. What a blessing! – to know that we no longer think with our mind, but that the mind of Christ has taken over our lives and that is the reason we think like we do, because it’s Christ in us, the hope of glory.
After the meeting the believers gathered together in the lower level of the church and sang and wished Brother Robledo a very happy 50th birthday. Brother Robledo was very surprised as he did not know that anybody in Peru knew that it was his birthday.
What a joy it was to participate in the meetings in Lima, Peru. The Bride’s revival is on and the humble believers in this region are receiving their blessing.
