On June 11 1933, while William Branham was baptizing a convert in the Ohio River a Pillar of Fire appeared above him and a voice spoke from the light saying, “As John, the Baptist was sent to forerun the first coming of Jesus Christ, so are you sent to forerun His second coming. The appearance of this supernatural light was reported in the June 12, 1933 edition of the Jeffersonville Evening News captioned: “Mysterious Star appears over minister while baptizing.”
